Please join us in your town or community!
Dogs
Deserve Better celebrates its Second Anniversary July 3-4, 2004.
We've
been working hard to raise community awareness all across the country,
and even the world! We've sent brochures to England, Canada, Spain,
Japan, Portugal, and Australia in addition to the U.S. and its territories.
What is Chain Off 2004?
During
Chain Off 2004 we ask caretakers of chained dogs and penned dogs
to take them off chains/out of pens for JUST ONE DAY! We hope
from this day on the dogs are seen with new eyes.
Here's
what we ask:
Give him one day of freedom, one day to be with you.
Bring her into the home. Take her for a walk on a leash.
Give her a bath! Allow her to show what a great companion she can
be.
And then send us your 'makeover' photos and we will post
them on our website. Best photo of giving your chained or penned
dog a happy moment wins $250.00!* Rules
of contest.
*Send
photos via e-mail to
info@dogsdeservebetter.org
or via regular mail to P.O. Box 23, Tipton, PA 16684. We will need
a before and after photo, before being chained/penned, and then
off chains and having fun inside or out!
